Wonton Chicken Tacos

We could probably eat tacos everyday of the week without getting sick of them, but sometimes it's fun to change up the way we serve them. These wonton chicken tacos are so easy, and they're such a fun way to put a twist on "taco night". The original recipe calls for them to be fried, but we've always baked them and they turn out perfect.

Adapted from this recipe

Ingredients:
  • 20 wonton wrappers
  • 1 can shredded chicken
  • 3oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • water for sealing the won-tons
Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Mix together the chicken, cream cheese, salsa, cumin and garlic salt. Stir until thoroughly combined.
  • Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture onto the middle of a won-ton wrapper.
  • Dip your finger in the water, and run along the edges of the won-ton wrapper, so they will seal.
  • Close the won-ton together to form a triangle, and press the edges together.
  • Place on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and the edges are crispy.
