Peanut Butter "Cheese Ball"

There is almost no better combination than peanut butter and chocolate. There's just something about the way that the flavors go together that is so fantastic. This dessert version of a cheese ball takes that classic pairing of peanut butter and chocolate, and takes it to a whole new level. You can probably serve this with just about anything, but I can guarantee you that Honeycrisp apple slices and cinnamon graham cracker sticks are some good options.

Adapted from this recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 (8oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter chips
  • Graham cracker sticks and apple slices, for dipping
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, peanut butter and brown sugar until well blended.
  • Spoon the mixture onto a large piece of plastic wrap. Bring up all four corners and twist tightly, forming into a ball shape.
  • Freeze for an hour and a half, or until firm enough to keep its shape.
  • Place the peanut butter and chocolate chips on a plate.
  • Remove the plastic wrap from the ball and roll it into morsels to completely cover, pressing morsels into the ball if necessary.
  • Cover and freeze for an hour, or until almost firm.
  • Serve with apple slices or cinnamon graham cracker sticks for dipping or spreading.
